When I right click my driver in RSwho and click “security” it asks for username and password to log in to Factory Talk which i do not even have. Back to the browse remote subnet topic, so if I’m on May 23rd, Is there a specifc location for this option? But I am learning a ton by doing this from start to finish. Could not getting the domain controller started up first cause the browse packets to never reach the network?

My guess is that either your working computers networking are not configured identically to your non-working computer, or that there is a firewall or router difference.

It’s a pretty esoteric command to setup, even a Stratix you have to muck around with the command line interface.

RSWho will verify communication to your processor. You are not registered yet. One of the functions of a router is to limit the broadcast range so that a request from RSLinx doesn’t go to every machine in your company or the entire Internet for that matter.
